I'm new here (I usually hang in rec.audio.pro), so please forgive if
this has been beaten to death...
I've been reading through the Google archives for your fine group, and
it seems pretty clear that while Lectro is still a preferred choice, the
Senn stuff is considered a reasonable budget alternative. So...
If YOU had to choose, would you go with a Sennheiser *500* series (not
the cheaper 100) or a Lectro 100 series (Lectro's "DV" package)?
I also looked at the venerable Lectro 187 (since the 195 appears to be
discontinued?), but I'm not sure I want to commit to a single frequency.
The Lectro 200 series stretches my meagre budget too far.
The cheap Lectro gets me 100mw transmit vs. only 30mw from the Senn, but
the Senn has balanced outputs and some gee-whiz features.
Application is mostly EFP (local spots & corporates), some ENG. What
would you do?
Thanks for any opinions!

look for used lectro ucr s 201 or 205( No batery compartment) ,210
receivers add LM tx and you have much better diversity system you did
mention
much better then the shifty sennheiser or non diversity 100 lectro
there is no any difference between senheiser 100 or 500 for performers , the
only difference is the monitor output and balance main , which doesn't give
you any benefit in short cable run
so for senheiser, the 500 is more then true waist of money
