How waterproof are the mm400a? I'm about to do a job in a wave pool and I
cant get a boom to the talent.
Can these transmitters really survive submersion?

Officially, they are water resistant.

However, in the real world they are submersed (and dunked underwater, too),
every day, and survive to do it again.

My experience has been that they can be completely submerged, even in
salt water and still work flawlessly. Your problem will be where to
put the pack in order to get reception. When they are completely
underwateer the RF is pretty non existent so unless the packs are
above the water line while people are in the pool the boom will be the
only way to go.
