Cole Avenue or Lillian Way (west and east of Cahuenga Blvd
respectively, probably between Santa Monica Blvd and Melrose Ave) are
the most likely bets. The Lone Star Studio that Chaplin was using at
that time was at the corner of Lillian Way and Elanore Ave.
There is loads of great information compiled in John Bengtson's book
"Silent Traces" with enough stills and frame grabs that you might even
be able to ID the particular scene you're refering to. >> Stay informed about: Location in The Fireman |

Thanks. There used to be a web site with before and after location shots of
Chaplin and other silent films. Is this site still available?
