Questions re The Incredible Melting Man

I know this is a pretty atrocious movie, but I have always been a fan
of the makeup effects. Did this ever come out in a US Dvd? Also,
does anyone know if the VHS version that came out years ago was
edited? I remember renting it a long time ago and being disappointed
that some of the gore I had seen in photos weren't in the film (if I
remember correctly there was a scene of the melting man biting the
cheek of a woman in a photo but it wasn't in the film).
