Willie Black
----------------

That's a line Black has bollixed and STOLEN from _Monty Python and the
Holy Grail_ WITHOUT giving it proper CITATION and CREDIT.

Black has ALSO stupidly and ignorantly MISQUOTED the lines. See page
nine of the screenplay for the accurate version.

Hilarious!

Fat Willie Black falls on his sword yet again.

He even sneaks in some Communist P.C. Rhetoric of his OWN -- which is
NOT in the ORIGINAL.

Deeeeelightful! -- as T.R. would say.

Black The Red -- Bitter, Flustered, Flummoxed, Fruity And Obscene.

It Never Takes Long.

I Say, Again -- Black The Red Yorkshireman Is MISQUOTING lines from
_Monty Python And The Holy Grail_.

He Has BOLLIXED The Lines.

He Is SO Ruddy Ignorant He Can't Even Get A BRITISH FILM Right.

The lines DO NOT READ as he has quoted them -- SANS CITATION.

Check The Screenplay, Folks...Or Watch The Film.

Hilarious!

'Nuff Said.

Depends what you mean by accurate. See the film to find out that Michael
Palin spoke the exact words quoted by
William Black. Palin did not follow the script as printed (it's called
improvisation).

Compare on Google the relative frequency of the film version "Strange women
lying in ponds distributing swords..." (5,820 hits) with the book version
(page 10 of my copy), "Strange women lying on their backs in ponds handing
over swords ..." (12 hits).

Hilarious!

Nope.

The screenplay is the authoritative version of what was intended.

And it is FAR funnier, without the Communistic overtones -- as well as
accurate to the Arthurian Legend.

Deferring to a FREQUENCY COUNT ON GOOGLE!

Hilarious!

Nope. If the actor misspeaks and the director accepts it, then that
becomes the authoritative version of the film.

So the sequence in the published screen play is definitive?

Even though it contains scenes they didn't actually film because they didn't
have enough money?

Silly man...

It's called democracy, you wouldn't understand. The Google count shows that
you are vastly outnumbered by people who have actually seen the film. Real
fans know it off by heart, they don't have to go running to the book and
quoting the wrong page number.

The correct version appears on PAGE NINE in the authorized SCREENPLAY --
as I pointed out previously.

Far funnier -- and accurate to the Arthurian Legend.

The Lady of the Lake HANDS OVER Excalibur to the Once And Future King,
while lying on her BACK in the lake. She doesn't just "DISTRIBUTE"
swords to any Tom, Dick or Harry. How pedestrian and collectivist THAT
would be.

Symbolic To The Nth Degree.

How Sweet It Is!

It just doesn't get any better than this, Virginia.

Pogues On The Run....

Hmm. I saw the film only last night and those words are much as I
remember them.

The Arthurian legend is now thought to have begun in the 6th century.
Monty Python and the Holy Grail is 10th century.

Ah, but that's the whole point of the line as it appears in the film,
during a big debate on collectivism and why the local populace don't
recognise the king.

Yeah, but not the script version.

You say this too often. So many things, to you, are better than the last
thing you thought was the best thing.
