Anyone have any new suggestions on mounting a single 411 Rx and two Rx
on a Z1U. I have the 411-fitted saddle bag, but at times will only
send one wireless channel to the camera (the other channel will be
sent to a second camera and will also need to be mounted on a Z1-U)
and want a way to mount just one 411. Thanks!

Ben

oh - and skip the boxes (too much weight and too much money) and use
velcro instead. i prefer the 3m 'click-lock' stuff from radioshack.

if mounting only one rx, see if you can fit it on the INSIDE of the
bracket as it will help keep the weight closer to the centerline of
the camera. if mounting 2, do one inside and one outside...

the jimmy box weighs very little so weight should not be a
consideration

Get a longer xlr and put the RX inside a pouch the camera guy can wear
on his waist. It did the trick more than once for me. You just need to
keep an eye on it.

Find out what the cam op prefers. I always bring options. Jimmybox
is cool, but a bit much to futz with for a day job. Bring Velcro if
they want it on the base plate and 7' coilies and a waist pack if they
prefer that. Always good to have options. Some like it bongo tied on
the top handle (might be diff camera than Z1U). I've gotten a great
response from operators for having a few different ways of doing this.

Ben,
Loon Audio makes a dual XLR 7' 3-pin coiled cable that's perfect for
what you need.
I had a 12 day shoot and using the cable allowed to put the 411 Rx's
in a fanny pack
a bought at REI. The Camera op. loved.
