I'm posting this in a new thread because I lost track of the old thread
that discussed the mutuals.
A box set of the Chaplin Mutuals with Carl Davis' new orchestral scores
will be available in June from Film Preservation Associates through
Image Entertainment. Included in the set will be the documentary about
Eric Campbell, "Chaplin's Goliath". Only available in the box set with
the Davis scores will be Richard Paterson "Gentleman Tramp" (both
television and theatrical version.
New improvements on the set will be the long version of One A.M. and
better version of The Rink, based from an original, unused 1916 print.
Special features include 82 original production stills courtesy of
Jeffery Vance.

Are these the same editions as the newer BFI R2 releases?

They started from the BFI editions and worked around that, replacing
footage if necessary.
This will certainly be the definitive R1 edition for now (mastered off
of HD).

Is it ONE A.M. or THE RINK that's "based from an original, unused 1916
print?" >> Stay informed about: Chaplin Mutuals DVD set in June |

Awesome! I love Carl Davis' scores, and I can't say I'm a fan of the
Mortilla ones. (sorry MM)

I hope it has the complete ending that used to be available in the older
video releases!

I believe they both are...apparently David Shepard has an "absolutely
complete and integral" original print of ONE A.M. I CAN'T WAIT FOR THIS
