Sweet & simple inquiry here: What is the best source to get region
1(USA) DVDs of the two Leni Riefenstahl films, "Olympia" & "Triumph of
the Will". I know that Kino offers some of her earlier silent stuff
where she appeared as an actress, but what of these two famous films?
Seems to me I can remember at least "Olympia-Parts One & Two" being
offered in the 16mm/Super 8 days(Blackhawk? Thunderbird? Reel Images?
Niles?), & possibly on VHS at some point. But where can one get them
now? "Fine Arts Showcase" used to show an extended sequence from
"Olympia", where the camera dollies past sculpted busts from ancient
Greece, which I thought was incredible in the way that the entire scene
was done.

Also the 1933 Chaliapin "Don Quixote" film turned up on "Fine Arts
Showcase"; fascinating looking film too, from the short segment they
presented.

An R1 DVD of OLYMPIA was released a couple of months ago, but most of
the reviews at Amazon bash it for a low-quality transfer. I haven't seen
it - I have the older Criterion laserdisc and haven't felt the need to
seek out a DVD.

As for TRIUMPH, the one to go for is Synapse Films' upgraded transfer
(they released an earlier edition as well several years ago):
