Alfred Hitchcock Presents...what if?

Wouldn't it be great if at some point Universal would release disks of only
the episodes that Hitchcock directed? It's great that they're releasing
the old series, but when I used to watch it (syndicated--I'm not THAT old),
it was obvious the quality of the stories were always notched up a few more
degrees if it was one that Hitch himself directed (not that there weren't
some good non-Hitchcock episodes--they just were few and far between).

I'm not going to spend money buying all seven seasons of this show, but I
would collect a separate set if they had only the Hitch episodes available
(he directed 17, I believe, on his own show--and there's some other tv
episodes he directed for other shows--it would be great if Universal owned
or acquired the rights to these, too).

Anyway, just a wish...

Actually I believe that Universal already have released these in France
as a set. I believe that all 20 TV shows that Hitch directed are
included in the French set that has English audio with removable
subtitles in French.

It includes all 17 episodes of "Alfred Hitchcock Presents" directed by
Alfred Hitchcock
* 1 episode of "The Alfred Hitchcock Hour" directed by Hitchcock
* 1 episode of "Suspicion" directed by Hitchcock
* 1 episode of "Ford Startime" directed by Hitchcock

If you checked www.amazon.fr and searched for Alfred Hitchcock
Presenté you will see a 5 DVD set that was released in February 2006
that meets all your wishes.

Unfortunately for some reason it is out of stock and unavailable. My
French is not good enough to understand why and the two Francophone
members of my family (my wife and daughter) are not here now. Perhaps
Alain Kerzoncuf or one of our other French friends will see this post
and provide more information.
