Hi Group,
Good topic to continue...
on "How best to configure".

(1) Inputs to mix panel for production track assignments
that will be quick for production to configure
and note, consistent and lessen confusion for an
easy reference to Post.

(2.) Corresponding design for a production sound report
of 10 tracks.

(1.) Data:
a. Production mix panel: 8 tracks:
b. Inputs: 1 or 2 booms, 6 to 8 wireless:
c. Outputs to Production Recorder: Deva 5, 10 tracks:

(2.) Metadata: Track assignment notation: (On Disk)
a. Name of actor on corresponding RF mic #:
Name of boom mic; i.e. boomone, boomtwo:
b. Wildlines, Humma, Walla, Org effects, Guidetrk.
Roomtone,Ambience .

(e.) Output Media: 1 cd+-r or DVD (1track for dailies).
1 DVD or CD+-r (10 tracks):
(f.) BWF-P or M:

(3.) Using both possible; (magless)

(a.) Production media goes first to Picture editor (Avid).
(b.) Production media goes first to Sound editor (Pro
Tools).
