Does anyone know a contact email or postal address for Radley Metzger,
his agent, his secretary, anyone? I ain't no groupie, I just want to
know where the hell he got the "Where is the Girl" song from his film
"Score". Lots of people ask who did that song, where did it come from,
and nobody seems to know. It's not mentioned in the credits, and
exhaustive google research has revealed nothing. If anyone on earth
knows the answer, Radley Metzger does.
And if anyone is lucky enough to know Radley Metzger's contact details
and doesn't want to reveal them, maybe you could do me a favour and
ask him about the song yourself. >> Stay informed about: Radley Metzger |

| Ah yes, the "Where is the Girl" song from 'Score' -- swirling organ, apropos lyrics (for the film), and an overall sound somewhere between the Kinks and the early Stones: truly the philosopher's stone for all of us who seek to shed light on the most obscure reaches of cult cinema. I've been working on this one for the longest time, but alas to no avail. My only real find is that the songwriting credits for the song are apparently attributed to one Vasja Suleski, at least according to the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences -- see the link here (http://wwwdb.oscars.org:8100/servlet/impc.DisplayCredits?primekey_in=2005110317:24:35307502811). The film was shot somewhere in Croatia, so perhaps it derives from a local (Croatian) source, but I haven't been able to dig up anything on that front. Most of the soundtracks for Metzger's films borrow heavily from Library Music, which can remain uncredited (e.g., most of the instrumental songs from 'Score' come from the magisterial 'Mindbender' album by Stringtronics), or from Italian film composers -- Cipriani did 'The Lickerish Quartet,' Piccioni did 'Camille 2000' -- who do require official attribution, but "Where is the Girl" does not seem to fit into these categories.
I do indeed have Radley Metzger's contact info, and I even once received a brief email reply from him, but he did not answer my question about the song. He is a difficult man to get in contact with (my hopes of corresponding with him extend beyond clearing up the mystery of the "Where is the Girl" song, as I'm a huge admirer of his opulently-crafted films and would love to write about them in a scholarly context). If you're still interested in this search, let me know and I'll gladly share Metzger's info, though he seems difficult if not impossible to reach.
All the best!
