Post subject: The Return of Countess Dracula!

Can I just unashamedly plug not a movie, but a brand new horror audio drama from a brand new company specialising in horror audio whose work has been described as 'movies for the mind's eye'? I'm Marty Ross and I'm a writer specialising in horror and SF audio drama, from BBC Radio's GHOST ZONE, CATCH MY BREATH and THE DARKER SIDE OF THE BORDER to the Big Finish Doctor Who audio dramas NIGHT'S BLACK AGENTS and THE LURKERS AT SUNLIGHT'S EDGE (Doctor Who meets H.P. Lovecraft, in a nutshell!), but what I particularly want to talk about here is BLOOD & STONE, my audio drama for 3DHORRORFI a British company just set up to do audio productions in the genre, using professional actors and state of the art 3D audio technology. BLOOD AND STONE is a kind of imaginary sequel to the real-life horror story of Elizabeth Bathory, the Hungarian 'Bloody Countess'. Anyone who knows the grim facts (or has seen Hammer's 'Countess Dracula') will know that the Countess wound up being punished by being sealed up in a room in her own castle. My play imagines what would have happened if she had got out, assisted by a young maid seemingly naive enough to believe the Countess might be innocent. But of course there's more to it than that! It's available as a downloadable audiobook from Amazon's Audible website, but frankly these producers get a better deal if you download direct from their own website at http://www.3dhorrorfi.com/products/blood-stone - you can also check out their other productions (which I didn't write) including the best adaptation of Cask Of Amontillado I've ever heard.
