No "might be" about it -- you're extremely wrong.

Giving Blue the benefit of the doubt, it is possible that he or she
meant "an actor who is not a professional singer, too". Or not.

Which would eliminate Bette Midler for "The Rose" & ... my mind's

Compared to Walter, *anyone* would be elegant, sedate, and refined, and
sophisticated!

Well, there was that yokel who did Jailhouse Rock and some others of
that sort. Fabian, was it?
I'll bet Tex Ritter and Rex Allen did up some B list oaters in which the
names of their tunes and the movie itself were the same. I can't think
of any. *Injun War Club Med*? Did Steve McQueen do any of *Baby, the
Rain Must Fall*?
Robert Duvall proved anybody can sing country, but one of the songs he
sang in the movie wasn't *Paris, Texas*.

There've been many, but I'm guessing that the FIRST performer to sing the
movie's theme song during the credits was Rudy Vallee in 1929's VAGABOND
LOVER.

It would not eliminate Mel Brooks for _High Anxiety_.
