Romero has nothing to do with the Day remake. It's being done without
any of his input. He *is* responsible for DIARY OF THE DEAD, which is
not a sequel to any of his original "dead" films, but is a sort-of
prequel/re-imagining of his first film, NIGHT OF THE LIVING DEAD
(1968).

I saw his name in the credits as a writer, but I guess that is a throw back
to say he was the original writer, not writing the film for the remake.

Did he not intend to get another point of view of his first "night of the
living dead" movie with the Diary of the dead? That's what I heard. Another
remake would be too much anyway, the 1990 remake was cool though and Barbra
was much more interesting than in the first movie.
