Screw all the critics. I didn't go into this expecting Oscar winning
acting, or a best screenplay, or commentary on society. I went in
wanting to be entertained, and that's what I got. I liked the first
one and loved the second one, and this would rank in between those.
Tucker and Chan have a magical chemistry. The movie was recycled you
say? Well I say if it ain't broke, don't fix it. I hope this makes a
bazillion bucks just to piss those elitists off.

And they didn't even do the "Do you understand..." gimmick!

I never saw any of them. Tucker thinks that cranking up yappiness is
funny. Actually, it's MUGGING. His best performance to date was his
brief appearance in JACKIE BROWN.

.. . . and his next best (before his yappiness got to be his gimmick):
that crazy DJ in THE FIFTH ELEMENT.

At least it was *American*-shtick yapping--
Which, grading on a curve, was a lot more watchable than most of the
artificial-American Euro-loopiness we got for the other 90% of "Element".

(Me! Me! Pick me!...) Sometimes you can Google even oblique little
ad hoc acronyms like that one. I did, and discovered that you'd
neglected to detect and expunge rec.sports.pro-wrestling from the cc-
newsgroup list. (You do vacuum and floss before every posting, don't
you?)

Actually, no, I don't. Not all the time, anyway. Sometimes, though,
when I reply to a post, I get an error message because of that
particular newsgroup listed in the response, and I have to remove it
before I can be successful. How the originator of the post got away
with listing RSPW without the error message is something I find
mysterious, but I'm not curious enough to investigate further. For now,
I'm piqued by the message, that for some reason, I don't have the same
privilege of someone else, who can post at will. Is it my ISP? What?

But while we're on this subject, I'll present a follow-up question.
What is this thing with this pro-wrestling newsgroup? Why is it so
often included in posts that have nothing to do with wrestling? Is it
some sort of joke that's been perpetrated during one of my absences,
then perpetuated, and that the perpetuation itself was part of the joke?
You know what I mean, I kind of droll internet humor.

He was great in Dead Presidents too... And Friday and Money Talks...

The Rush Hour franchise kinda "killed" his career... "Killed" meaning
that's all he does now because he gets a $20mil paycheck for every
sequel so he does one like every five years... (RH4 will probably be
released 2012...) He's a funny guy and a talented actor but he's
probably made enough money to be set for life...

I would probably do the same thing in his position...

(Ladies and gentlemen: Alric Knebel ASKS what
"Rec.sports.pro-wrestling" is.
You may interpret this fact in whatever manner you see fit.) -_-

"In some sense" you HAD to; there's no supposing to it. I tried to
piece together here and there from other off-handed comments about what
it all meant, but there was never enough information to be gleaned from
casual remarks to make it clear. You had to BE THERE whenever this
thing first started. Now that you've explained it DOWN THERE in the
thread, I think it's an odd phenomenon.

By the way, or you suggesting that the initial praise for RUSH HOUR 3
came from a troll who didn't really share that opinion at all?

All right, Al, apparently you're not joking, so here:
They're legendary as one of six legendary troll-conquered "safe houses",
in which the regulars do not so much discuss the WWE, so much as let
career cross-trolls shelter each other, and remain a base from which to
concoct their vile plans upon the wider Usenet world.

And why here so often?
Well, most of us here don't even bother giggling at RichA, Gaza or Blob
anymore--But the more hopeful and naive Al-Qaeda-esque splinter cells on
RSPW see all of Rich and Mooie-boy's dopey crossposts and THINK we're
trying to be another troll safe-house, and keep sending their
cross-trolls over here first to "mark" the group for future colonization.
A standard practice, but someone should really break the bad news to
them sometime. -_-

And that is why the Department of RAMC-F Homeland Security reminds you
to always stop a RSPW thread at the border, for your group safety and ours.
Loose Lips Sink Ships, and Naive Dopes Raise Hopes. ;)

LOL! Good post, Derek. Now that I'm up on what it's all about, I'll do
my patriotic duty to protect us from troll terrorism.

Rafiki's already tried spec-posting a few halfhearted movie-related
crossovers, most of which are so lacking we keep wondering whether
they're supposed to just be real-and-dumb:
Not sure if he *thought* we were supposed to rant and rave about "No
way, d00d!...That trailer sucked! Chris Tucker should die!", etc. but,
given that that didn't really happen, you can kind of see the level of
some of the solo explorers.

(I can Google back to a post where one of the RSPW regulars didn't take
kindly to our laughing in RSPW-regular Jombithedjinn's monthly
amateurish/brick-subtle attempts to get flames started, and even seemed
a bit *disgruntled* that RAMC-F was apparently a little more
troll-resistant than its false reputation let on.) :)

Funny...maybe...depends on who you ask. Talented actor is taking it a bit
too far. He plays the same basic character in every role he has.
