Rycote

Hi all,

This is probably old news to many of you, but it was a surprise to me.
I've just replaced my Rycote Windshield for my Neumann KMR81.
The old one was beyond the repairs suggested in an earlier post.
Here's the surprise to just me part: Rycote has updated its design.
Very nice. I like it better than the old, except... it's an inch longer.
So the Windjammer I replaced less than a year ago doesn't fit. Doh!
Obviously, replacing everything at the same time would've been
the smart thing to do.
At least, the new Windshield -with the included filler strip- is
compatible with the old suspension.
