Hi Larry,

I just purchased an SMD to go with my other 3 SM transmitters. I noticed
that the SMD is probably slightly older than the SM units that I bought
because they have the +10dm marking next to the serial number while the SMD
does not. The SMD is lower level than the SM transmitters and I wonder if
you can update the SMD to match the level of the +10 SM's

Jay

They will update the SMD, you will have to send it in.

Hi Jay and Scott,
About 2 to 3 months of the SMd's were made without the +10 mod.
However, all SMq's have the +10 mod. All SM's, SMd's, and SMq's will
be marked with +10 on the blue serial plate with the mod. The SMa's
SMda's and SMqa's (A series) will have the mod but not the marking.
The A's will have both the adjustable low frequency control and the
+10 gain setting as standard along with the Goretex air vent.
Best Regards,

So is it possible to bring SMD #237 up to the latest firmware and mods just
like it was new this week? (It is.)
Jay

Hi Jay,
You should already have all the latest SMD firmware. We can do the +10
hardware mod if you need to match to other gear that has it. The
adjustable low frequency is a feature of the SMDa and can't be added
to the SMD since it includes additional parts and a different PC
board.
