Forgive my lack of knowledge, but couldn't you make a production
decision to set the time codes based on a "shooting Day" and start at
00:00 each day. As long as the log's are correct it should not be a
problem.

Glen,

I resent that slur on Bluegrass Bass players, although I understand it's
all in fun. I used to be one. Sometimes I feel like my position as Mixer
on set is very similar in some respects to that of a bass player in a band.

Well, since Jay told me now about the DV40 possibility's, i'm not so
sure (anymore) about new Aaton Keylinker / Indaw systems in
combination with crossing the Zero.

So, maybe call the posthouse :-)

R ( who always start at 01.00.00 when doing nightshoots, or splitdays
)

Way too depressing. You'd see exactly how long you'd been there every
time you look up at the TC display.
