Yes, if you rank them alphabetically, QMU comes in at 76 and York comes in
at 118. If you rank them by teaching score, York comes in at number 7 and
QMU is at 35.

Did you not notice that they were alphabetical when you ranked them?

Yes, and the fact that depending on what you were looking for you
could get various rankings now can you explain why you choose
2004 as the year rather than any other year including an upto date 2006
ranking ?
It also depends on the tarrif band you select.
I aslo noticed that in 2006 QMUL elec. eng came out 6ht
and yourk came 10th for psychology.
What I aslo notice was the amount spend per student.
York 9/10 and QMUL 6/10.
But as I say it depends on which result you want.

that can create basic PDFs. I use Macintosh computers and saving PDF format
is included as part of the operating system you don't have to buy ANYTHING
to
creatre a PDF or buy ANYTHING to read them.

There are commercial available option for producing PDF is as acrobat
professional
perhaps that's what's confusing you. I have that package on my PC at work.
The extras you get include being able to password protect various aspects of
the PDF,
adding 'water marks' restricting printing or copy and pasting text.
I was using this in 1998 to help prevent students copying past projects via
copy and paste.

Yes it is; the newest version isn't, but older versions are available to
download free from the Microsoft site.

It's not standard for handing in work, no. Why on earth do WMUL ask students
to hand in work in PDF format? Do students hand in work electronically, or
on paper?

Can you also explain why you used York, you studied there but you don't work
there do you.

Well taking higher grade A-level students in must make it easier to get
higher grade
degree students out. So taking in lower level studetns is a disadvantage.
Perhaps if York had to admit lowwer tarif student's rather than the 'cream'
then maybe it would get such high results.

But you still don;t work for ELU don't you, but prefered to use Yorks
rating why ? To make you loko better

You expect a football team that spends £millions to be better than a local
team
that runs charity events, and you'd expect better players to be playing
for the teams were there's most money generally speaking.

One of our lecturers studied and worked for Cambridge but that doesn't make
me
think I should be using Cambridge to prove the point.

Can you show me where you can get this ?

I'm sure everyone would like word for nothing.
or are you lying or mistaken.
And we run XP so it's no good having a version that only runs on DOS or
even W95 or even W98 as we don't support those old operating systems.

I've NEVER seen MS Word offered for nothing.

Depending on the course and practicalities .
There are three basic methods, Paper, ZIP archieve and PDF
(it's QMUL. BTW)

No we use PC's Macs were banned in the department by the HoD because
he decided that Apple were a rubbish company and would go out of business
around 1994 so he gave strict instructiojns that mac would not be purchased

We use a utilitity called ghostword it is a freeware program for producing
PDFs
from Word, excel or powerpoint.
