I rented this because it was in the horror category but it turned out to be
a very unfunny comedy about bunch of hobos living in a junkyard. The movie
didn't age very well and the special effects look outright pathetic.
The main plot is about a liquid store owner finding bunch of bottles behind
a wall and decided to sell them to the homeless people at alcohol for a
dollar a bottle. >> Stay informed about: Street Trash (1987) |

LOL! Me too. Except I got them at Makro. £1.99 each plus VAT if memory
serves. Good old Avatar!

A superb film! How can you not like the cop VS gangster scene in the toilet?
When I first saw this I laughed so hard I sustained a nosebleed. The film
also features some of the best dialogue I've ever seen in a low budget
outing. It also taught me to mix in raisins with my "Hooch" for roughage. >> Stay informed about: Street Trash (1987) |

In the early days of alt.horror, James Lorinz was something of a cult
figure round here, and his turn as the doorman -turned-Godfather ("KISS
MY RING") oft quoted.

Splendid - in fact magic was all around you. I too first encountered
TENEBRAE and INFERNO as dodgy copies. TENEBRAE had a DIY dubbing job done to
it which left the entire dénouement spoken in Italian. >> Stay informed about: Street Trash (1987) |

don't got a cock'

He was wonderful in this and Frankenhooker. His career never exactly took
off, though.

The first time I saw it was a rental from Blockbuster. What a blast.
The second time I saw it was a few months later, on Cinemax in the afternoon,
totally uncut.
How times have changed.

Gary, was the old Avatar tape cut?
I haven't seen it since those TROUBLED TIMES.

My first encounter with Tenebre was a copy of an Italian tape
belonging to a guy I knew from Birtley, with no subs or dubbing. I
didn't have a clue what was being said, but damn did it look good. >> Stay informed about: Street Trash (1987) |

I don't recall it being cut. It was certainly gory as hell for the
time of its release.

My first encounter with Argento was when SUSPIRIA played in American
theatres. I remember thinking how different and wonderful it was. I was
already a horror freak by that time, but Argento was different, very
different, than other films of the time.
