Strike a blow for independent movies

I'm tired of the junk the major studios put out. One more remake of a second
rate comic book will drive me around the bend. So I've invented the "Andy
Rooney is a Waco" game. Whatever movie I see this week end, I'm buying a
ticket to "The Passion". Then I'm sending Andy Rooney an e-mail pointing
out how much money independent film maker Mel Gibson has made.
The big studios will get the wrong message, and come out with a lot of
bathrobe trash. But some of the financial backers might just be a bit more
willing to help out an indie.
