Hi;

Perhaps someone can answer this? In either Oct. or Nov. of this year,
there was to be a day of the "Carry On" british comedies. I saw them
listed on the schedule. They are no longer on the schedule. Any idea why
they've been removed?

Thank you, all.

I get the monthly satellite TV guide "Orbit" (even though I don't
have satellite TV), so I can plan my viewing a month in advance. The
"Carry On" series was not listed for TCM in October.

I haven't seen a "Carry On" in over 20 years, but I remember some of
them as being piss-your-pants funny.

I think it was November? That's the month they are showing series.
Durango Kid, Whistler, East Side Kids, etc. There were about 10 Carry On
films listed. Carry On Doctor, Carry On Constable, Carry On Nurse, etc.
The first one I ever saw in a theater was not listed. Carry On Sergeant.

I know they were scheduled because I copy and pasted the listings and
sent them to friends.

Thanks to all who answered and all who may yet answer.

I believe TCM occasionally deletes titles from their schedule due to last
minute rights issues, and issues over obtaining a broadcast master. I do not
work for TCM, however, and am not certain of the official reason why these
particular titles were removed.

My contact at TCM tells me they had trouble getting the films from the
distributor. He's checking to see if they will show up on a later schedule.

Thank you, Jim. And thank your contact.
If you can buy them from TCM, why can't they telecast them?

Should you hear anything please post it or even e-mail me.
