I really wasn't sure that what I thought I saw actually was what I
thought it was, particularly because it was so obvious. In the new
feature August Rush, about 30min. in the kid gets up from sitting and
there it is...a wireless transmitter clipped onto the back of his
pants. I thought, "I know what that looks like, but I wonder what it
really is?" After talking to friends after the movie ended (all of
whom are in this industry), they thought they saw it, too. It's
definitely the most obvious one I've ever seen. I guess that brings
up a quick "trivia" moment. Anyone ever notice other wireless packs
or mics on talent in other major motion pictures? >> Stay informed about: Transmitter Shown in August Rush |

I just saw "American Gangster"...co-starring the boom Mic. I counted
14+ times the boom dipped in! Could this be my theatre only?? I
could not believe it. >> Stay informed about: Transmitter Shown in August Rush |

Yes, it means the projector wasn't properly framed. Can't imagine how
the kid running 15 projectors at the googleplex missed that one! At
least it was consistent. I think I only got to use a boom 14 times on
that film! Did you see any packs though?

The real question is, did he hear a faint voice whispering "you're in,
you're in" each time he saw the mic! >> Stay informed about: Transmitter Shown in August Rush |

LOL, there wasn't one faint voice on that entire shoot! Except of

That is great.
Didn't see any packs Billy, but when the pole clipped the corner of
the frames...I figured something was wrong. >> Stay informed about: Transmitter Shown in August Rush |

its not funny , I got a call from the producer on current job that the boom
is in the frame every shot after he sow the rushes on dvd , some one forgot
to tell him we are shooting 1.33 ( downsize from 16/9)
as Billy almost everything is wireless(regular + boom or 2 on uh 400 ) and
so is the feed to the camera on street walk shots ( zaxcom)+ ref ifb back
no double system , no back up - "7 minutes in heaven" - next year in Berlin
, inshalla
