I stated about AvP:

No, I didn't.
But don't let that change your mind about enjoying it
when you see it!
I just demand more originality as I get older. I've seen
*so* many films, that a movie has to grab my attention
in *some* way. A visual directing style (why I can stand
to watch AR), great music, stand-out acting in the face
of a limp script, action a person can actually follow in a
logical manner, lines that make me laugh out loud . . .
*anything* which can indictate that *somebody* cared
while working on the film.
I just didn't feel anything while watching AVP, and I was
*really* trying to enjoy it. It's just . . . flat. With all the
fanboy "it's action-packed" statements flying around, I
just wanted some sense of balance in the ng. My statement
isn't meant to be mean-spirited, it's just an honest reaction
of one single (but hopefully fair-minded) person.
Hope your experience is *much* better! Don't listen to an
ornery old cuss like me, my friend! :-)
Have a great day!
