Am seeking advice about the importance of using an Ambient Lockit box
for 48K wordclock input to into a Cantar audio recorder (16bit, 48K
recording), vs. just using a Denecke syncbox (SB-2a) for TC alone.
There are 2 video cams (29.97ND) wearing Lockits jammed from an Ambient
master clock, feeding TC and genlock to the cams. The Syncbox is also
jammed from the master clock, and feeds 29.97ND to the audio recorder.
Would there be a strong benefit to post if the audio wordclock were to
be generated by another jammed Lockit, vs. generated internally by the
audio recorder?
I should mention that I am also not completely certain that the Cantar
accepts wordclock-in (on the Sub-D 15), or if it's out-only.
Also, we have a spare Ambient Lockit, model ACL 202 (not 202T or C, as
the others are). The label (silver) is scraped off where the dip switch
settings are labeled. Anybody have these settings?
Grácias!
