Ok I'm looking for those mixers that are using Zaxcom ENG sterioline Tx
to send audio to Cam. Are the Lectros working in that mode with the
ZaxcomTX to cam close by, is there any bag reciever issues happening
with that ? I'm setting up a bag system with min 2 x lectros 210's up
to four then sending out Audio to Camera with ENG system. What freq.
are used ? is there digital /analog RF issues ? do the compatable
blocks on Lectros site work to set up this system ? Thanks Don

Hi Don,

I've been using the Zaxcom stereoline (bloc 27) for about 2 months now
with 2-195's (527.5 & 574.375) and a 210 (bloc 25) and all 3 receivers
have suffered interference if the Zaxcom transmitter is placed right
beside them. Moving it to a belt pouch, 12 inches away, has fixed the
problem for me.

thanks guys my Lectros are in block 22 so if I get a Block 26,27 or
compatible for for my area should be good. also do you use the wireless
link at all times or just on B- roll ?

There is always a possibility of interference between receivers and
transmitters in a camera bag when they are inches apart. Our filter
antenna makes a big difference in eliminating interference within a
bag. It gets the RF out of the bag and limits it to a 35MHZ range. This
protects receivers outside the 35MHZ range of the transmitter filter.

I used the zaxcom block 24 with lectro 210,211 ( just sold the 210 few
days ago) on block 25 with out the problem , there was about 15% range drop
out in range when they sit in the same bag , the other zaxcom on the same
block which was working with the receiver inside my bag was not effected at
all , the only problems I had surprise in block 22 with my old 200 the
problem stayed there even I change fq on the zaxcom and lectrosonics which
gave about 75 mhz separation , the problem was almost fixed with the zaxcom
filtered antennawhich improved the reception on block 25 as well .
..
another issue I had is to shear power with wendt mixers - there is a ham
created with use of both units on the same battery, I never solved this
problem so I ran the wendt internally ( wendt 2), the same problem was with
wendt 4 , I never checked it with 5 input model but heard the same problem
from 5 users.
If you wendt user , you must supply unbalance ( mike or line level(
decreased at least by 30 db) to the transmitter to prevent hum )
There are not any ground loops or interfirence problems with sd 442,302 or
cooper mixers.
never heard any thing from sqn owners and shure owners ( dont think that
someone even tryed :-))
All my equip inside my bag 442, zaxcoms and lectrosonics are always sheared
the same power source
Before you buy check the TX with your equip not to be surprise by bad luck -
for me that's work the last 6 months .

If the camera is on tripod, I plug in. If the camera is handheld but
mild, I plug in. The Zaxcom comes in handy for the rest. Of course,
your application may vary.

We have improved them a bit but I am still looking for a better
material for the whip portion.

Hi Glenn,
I was wondering if zaxcom has addressed the Rx aerial problem. By that I
mean that they are prone to breaking when bent a couple of times and
straightened in the heat of the moment.
Thanks
Steve
