Reviews and the new DVDs - I suspect none of these reviewers actually knows anything about Chaplin (or cares), but are simply the press releases that came with their free copies of the new DVDs. How else to explain really ignorant like the one Bruce Calvert..

Next Set of Warner Releases? - there was talk of the second wave of Chaplin coming this fall. Now, as all of the hype is kicking in, I keep reading about the next set being released next year. Anybody know the actual schedule? Scanz

A look at the packages has paid off.

The CBS Fox runs 126 minutes.
MK2 runs 115.

That's approximately a 14% difference, only
4% of which is due to PAL speedup.

The small bits omitted from MK2 would never amount to
10% of the total running time, so what accounts
for the difference?

Where are you getting the running time for the MK2?

Because I'm holding up the case in front of me and I'm not seeing the
numbers.

(Granted, this *is* a library copy, and the stickers might be hiding
something, but all I see are times for the DVD extras.)

That threw me too. You have to look inside the cover, and remember that
disks 1 and 2 are reversed, if yours is like mine.

It's not on the slipcase.

I told Association Chaplin about this. I think they tried to make sure
it didn't hahppen on the Region 2 release.
