Lana, if you asked me), who gave him a son, Lorenzo!

As I mentioned in the other thread, when Howard Shore (composer)
was replaced in King Kong (by James Newton Howard), the scene
of Shore conducting the orchestra in the theater where Kong was
exhibited was retained in the movie.

Can't believe everyone missed that Tom Selleck was replaced by
Harrison Ford for Indiana Jones in Raiders of the Lost Ark because CBS
wouldn't let him out of his contract for Magnum PI. Can't remember
where I saw it, but someone did a poster from Raiders with Selleck on
it. Funny how I now look back and mostly can't see the original actors
in these roles.

How about actors who were replaced by other actors, but footage remained
of the original actor in the completed film?

Keitel in "Apocalypse Now" (in the scene in the beginning of the film of
the boat speeding away, that's Keitel standing in it).

I seemed to remember that some of the Eric Stolz scenes from "Back to the
Future" remained.

Judy Garland was replaced by Betty Hutton in "Annie, Get Your Gun,"
after filming several scenes & some musical numbers.

Vivien Leigh was replaced after filming scenes in India & Hollywood in
Dieterle's "Elephant Walk," & replaced with Liz Taylor.

Richard Gere was replaced by Perry King in "The Lords of Flatbush"
because Gere & Sly Stallone had a fight.
