You're far better at predicting elections than
at defending Bush's foreign policy, George.

But here's a perfect opportunity for you. Why don't
you undertake the political reeducation of the Iraqis?

Just mind you don't lose your head in the process.

I'm not defending it, just stating it.

I don't need to defend it.

W(e) won.

Not on the basis of his Iraq debacle.

If the public thought it was such a
debacle, they would have kicked Bush out of office as they forced LBJ to
resign
and defeated his VP over Viet Nam.

You're just worried that Iraq might
succeed.

I haven't forgotten the yells "Quagmire!
Quagmire!" right before Kabul fell
in Afghanistan.

For some strange and perverted
reason, many on the left (but not all,
including Lieberman, Ed Koch,
and that courageous actor, Ron
Silver) want the US to fail.

I'm certainly disappointed in what
has happened, but Saddam had
a fall-back position, which was to
conduct an insurgency. That's why
he opened the jails and freed all
prisoners before the war. Obviously,
we didn't count on this....but we and
the Iraqis who want a democratic
Iraq will prevail in the end...especially
now that Bush has consolidated
his power.

From Media Matters:
The facts clearly show that the United States is not a "red country." Bush
received 51 percent of the vote, compared with Kerry's 48 percent; Bush's
advantage in electoral votes was 279-252, with results from Iowa pending. With
the exception of the 2000 election, Bush's popular vote margin of about 3.6
million votes (out of approximately 115 million total votes cast) was the
narrowest since 1976, when then-Georgia Governor Jimmy Carter (D) defeated
then-President Gerald R. Ford (R) by about 1.7 million votes. Bush won by the
narrowest margin of any wartime incumbent president in U.S. history. As Wall
Street Journal Washington editor Albert R. Hunt noted, it was "the narrowest
win for a sitting president since Woodrow Wilson in 1916."

That's not what people are finding out. It seems many Bush supporters
were more worried about "moral values" than actual political issues.

As far as I'm concerned it has already failed in many crucial respects. If
the Iraqis are able to salvage something positive from the mess, I wish
them well.

I basically supported the action in Afganistan; the Iraq war is an
entirely different matter.

Yes....you did. And considering what many are now suspecting (voter fraud,
buying the election, etc.) we might seriously consider the words of Josef
Stalin (admittedly an evil man if ever their was one) -
"The people who cast the votes decide nothing. The people who count the votes
decide everything."

"....a political candidate who jumps to conclusions without knowing the facts
is not a person you want as your commander in chief." - George W. Bush, finally
speaking the truth - October 2004

Quoting Stalin is rather bizarre...hard
to take seriously except as a slur.

The major league "fraudsters" are the Democratic big city machines
which manufacture votes by literally
(in some cases) paying people to come
to the polls and standing next to them
in voting booths to make sure they pull
the right lever.

Listen, you lost. Accept it. Re-organize
and come back in 2008. The GOP
endured 8 years of Clinton and
came back. You'll have to do the
same for four more years.

Don't exactly know what you mean....a slur? Against who? I was just quoting
what I felt is a rather interesting historical quote - worth consideration
under the circumstances.

You really seem to be enjoying slamming this home. Indeed GWB is in - but at
what cost? Let's see if 'ol "Merca" lasts another four years under "the big
goober."

I'm slamming it home because all your
objections come down to being a sore
loser, still vilifying Bush.

We have a system. Kerry presented
an agenda and so did Bush. The
majority chose Bush's.

That's America.

Case closed until 2008.

The "majority" can't be the deciding factor can it? Weren't you more
than willing to accept Bush when he DIDN'T get a majority 4 years ago?

Is the case closed even IF it is shown there was electronic
manipulation that proves Bush didn't get the votes he's credited with?
Why are you so afraid of an investigation to find out?
