I've been using Sanken Cos 11s to hide under clothing but recently got
a couple of B6. Any tips on best way to hide these? I'm using
moleskin or top stick with the Sankens, same drill with the B6 under
clothing?

Matt

I just take about a 1 inch strip of transpore tape, put the head of the mic dead
center on the sticky side of the tape, then stick the whole thing on the inside
of the cloth facing out. having the "back" side of the head covered with the
tape protects it somewhat from clothing and hairy chest noise and most of the
time the mic just quietly rides with the clothing without a bunch of cages,
spacers or other such rigs. I don't know how I lived without B-6's before.

Why hide them?

I've been really enjoying using them in plain sight.

The white ones disappear completely on video - and almost so on HD.

The last time I hid one, the Wardrobe Person snipped off the head- thinking it
was a loose thread.

P.S. I love Charlie's rig, too.

I use B6's also.
I don't think they sound as detailed or maybe as transparent as Sankens, but
their utility far out weighs the difference. (CD vs LP analogy)
Like Charlie, I use Transpore and stick them to the inside of a shirt.
Love to hide 'em in plain sight too.
Has anyone tried one with Hi-Def or 35mm?

Rick
