I'm gonna get it for SEK 599, that's £46.85 (US $78). But that's because I am
VIP at a DVD place. Cheapest ordinary price in Sweden seems to be £53.20, so no
huge difference.

Hello

A friend just gave me a special 4 pages printing with the futur
promotion
for the release of the quadrilogie here in France. This is a media
planing
with all the details about the sales history of each film. It anounces
too of
course the realese of the 9 DVDs in december the 3th 2003.
There is too all details about what will be on each DVD and all the TV
and press promotion there will be. A very interesting and nice (colored
pictures and infos) booklet edited only for big markets.
it says there will be many reports with each films + commentaries (just
hope this time with subtitles...) : R. Scoot / Cameron & crew / V. Ward
(not surprise there is no Fincher intervention) / JP Jeunet.
There is screen test of S. Weaver in Alien. Each film will be
in original version + director's cut too (dont know if in originaly
language
only or not) : Alien + 5 min / Aliens long version / Alien 3 + 27 min
and
Alien Resurection + 7 min. There is some deleted scenes too
(newscenes?? I don't know) + all bonus that appears on old Laser discs.
About the sound, Alien & Alien Res. will be on DTS.
Each DVD bonus with multiangle section plus plus plus... ...
I'm just surprised cause i thought Alien 3 will get approx 50 min of
additional screen, where is the rest???

Well, thanx for reading, hope u all understand me.
I hope to get more infos as i've a friend working in French FOX
department.

Bye

Richard

Relax, it WAS just a joke. It wasn't meant as

"Hello Mr 1982, which was the year one used VHS instead of DVD, and that
year only, and you're an idiot for not having one in this day and age"

it was meant as

"Hello Mr 1982, which was a long time ago, just as the days when I used VHS
feel like, even though I am perfectly aware of the fact that DVD actually
came several years later than that, but I just exaggerated to be funny"

I thought the ":)" explained all that. :P

Yep, in the context of how long people of this group had been on usenet, it's
not like we were talking about mens fashion and I just blurted it out. I called
Covenant a newbie (which I think we all know he acts like from time to time)
and Adam said that Covenant had been on usenet for "several years" and then
implied that I hadn't, so I told him he was wrong.

Yes? We were discussing TV sizes. I made a comment about TV sizes and Covenant
seemed to disagree with my comment, so I had to tell him what kind of reference
material I have.

> > I thought the ":)" explained all that. :P

Yes, recieveing the ave of the participant of a.c-m.a sure makes my self-esteem
huge!

Take a break, not everything is as evil as you think it is. I couldn't care
less if you have a DVD or not. I do, however, reserve the right to make funny
comments when I so please, and take no responsibility that those jokes are
perfectly understood by every recieving person.

You seem to be investing way too much of yourself in this issue.
