Requiem for a Dream is a profoundly disturbing film about drugs and the abuse of same, not just by the pathetic junky (Jared Leto), but also by his diet pill addicted Mom (played by Ellen Burstyn, who should have won the Oscar for this film, but she lost to Julia Roberts, go figure) - Shell >> Stay informed about: movies about drugs

Will definitely have to second (or third) "Requiem for a Dream" also. Some suggestions: Trainspotting Panic in Needle Park Drugstore Cowboy The Trip (ambiguous) Reefer Madness Some video companies like Something Weird (www.somethingweird.com) and Sinister Cinema (www.sinistercinema.com) have sections devoted to drug movies and it would be worthwhile looking at their online catalogues.
