Warner Village Cinema / Vue - Charges - I have just booked 6 tickets on-line to see a film at the local Warner Cinema. The costs quoted were £5.50 each ticket. I looked at the terms and to check no were going to be applied all appeared OK. I then received a mail from Vue..

Used to be a common thing years ago when we had the main feature and
the B feature. Come in any time and sit all the way through until you
came to the bit you came in at unless it was Pearl and Dean. When they
started denying entry to people who were late I just stopped going.
Never been to a cinema since the first Star Wars. Wait for them to
come in the shops instead. A dvd and a bottle of wine and a bag of
nuts is cheaper than the cinema anyway for a family..

That's why Cindy and I prefer Arthouse cinemas like the one's in Soho
and Mayfair - absolutely NO RIFF RAFF.

Good luck!

Universal DVDs have that annoying FACT informercial which you can only
fast forward (and not skip), unlike other studios which see sense and
allow to either go directly to the menu or completely skip that bloody
annoying, pointless FACT message.

Some titles I've seen force you into pressing fast forward continously
sitting through a load of adverts for other titles - you can't go
directly to the film or menu system.

User prohibitions should be banned. I've paid to watch a film. I KNOW
I shouldn't steal handbags, cars, wallets and movies. I KNOW what's
coming from the same bloody studio as I've got something called the
Internet that lets me find that out. I just want to bloody watch the
flipping film for crying out loud..

Regards,

Martyn

I love the ones that prevent you from changing the audio language or
subtitles while playing the movie. What idiot thought I should be
forced to go back to the menus to change them when I have buttons on
the remote?

More impressive, though, was one I think David Lynch movie which has no
chapters, and disabled the timeline bar in PowerDVD so I couldn't even
click on the point in the movie I wanted to watch from. The only way to
get to the point in the movie where I wanted to start watching was to
bloody fast-forward through forty minutes.
