| Hi
I remember that in the matrix 1 , when they were unplugging neo for
first time , he was looking at the looking glass, and then the glass
kinda overtakes him, I am sure it has been dicussed , can anyone tell
me what it means and how is it related to "though the looking glass"

Below is how I see that, but I m not very sure.
Remember when Morphis asks Neo to choose a pill to take, he says
"There's no turning back"? Well, I think that means if you take the red
pill, you can no longer live a life as before in the Matix. As Morphis
says, the red pill is a tracing program. It transfers information with
the system's IO, I mean, the port where the Matrix and the "real" world
is connected so that Morphis and his crew can know about Neo's
location. After transplanted in the tracing program, there's no
turning back 'cause you are no more a normal person in the Matrix and
system will find you abnomal and get rid of you.(I guess)
Now come back to the glass. Neo looks at the glasses and finds the
glasses become one mirror and a image of himself appears in the mirror.
Remember what Trinity says when they watch Neo touches the mirror and
begins to be wrapped by it? She says the duplication has begun. I think
that means they need a copy of Neo's spirit and guide that spirit back
into his brain. If a man is disconnect from the Matrix without spirit
coming back to his brain, he will die immediately 'cause without
spirit, the body cannot survive. I guess what they are doing can be
divided into two parts. For the guys in the ship in the "real" world,
they need to find the signal of Neo's spirit and locate it, and that's
why Neo need to take the red pill - the tracing program. For the guys
already in the Matrix like Morphis and Trinity, they need to find a
nearest entrance to lead Neo's spirit back to his brain.

So, the glass overtaking Neo is actually a copying program. I think.

My theory (and it's only a theory)...
Neo was hallucinating, and the glass's effects were just an illustration of
the power of suggestion. The mirror was there, and the red pill had such a
disorienting effect on the Matrix's grip on Neo's mind that elements of the
Matrix (like the mirror) started twisting away from their intended realistic
appearance. According to all this, I don't think any one else in the room
saw what Neo saw. They just saw him reacting strangely and knew something
was up, but they didn't know exactly what he was seeing... because it was
only his hallucination. >> Stay informed about: Through the looking glass |

I think that there is no answer to that question for the following reason:
If the Wachowski's slept between finalizing the movie, then sitting down and
watching it, they were saying things to each other like "Dude, what the h*ll
were we trying to do here?"
