People do that on this newsgroup quite frequently. I've gotten alot of good
titles here.
Another good way to find movies is to go to Amazon.com with a title, look it
up, and then look at Amazon's sections called "Customers who bought this
video also bought:" and "Customers who viewed this video also viewed". IIRC,
that's how I found "Let's Scare Jessica to Death". For the last 3 or 4
years, I've been seeking out abstract movies that reuquire viewer
interpretation to make sense, and also creepy and/or mysterious movies, and
movies with twist endings. Here are some of my more obscure favorites:
"The Other" with Uta Hagen (a masterpiece, and it's a crime that it isn't
readily available on DVD [or VHS for that matter]).
"Santa Sangre" and "Fando y Lis" by Alejandro Jodorowski (also a
masterpieces).
"Performance" by Cammel and Roeg
"The Reflecting Skin"
"Hour of the Wolf" and "Persona" by Ingmar Bergman.
"The House with Laughing Windows" (super-scary and creepy Italian movie)
"Innocents with Dirty Hands" by Claude Chabrol
"Images" by Robert Altman
Here are some I like a little less but are still worth watching IMHO:
"Eyes Without a Face"
"Sisters" by Brian de Palma
"Kissed"
"Short Night of Glass Dolls"
"Whatever Happened to Aunt Alice"
"Who Saw Her Die?" (creepy Italian giallo)
