Hi,
I'm looking for alternatives to Phonito and similar inductive ear
prompters.
I know Phonak has now the Flex system that works with RF instead of
induction but I'd like to find something more universal and with
broader freq response, but that it is still pretty "invisible"

Is there something in the music accesories market or surveillance
maybe?

I can only rent the Phonito locally and I own a couple too, but I hate
to use it except in very controlled situations (almost never
happening :)

I'd like something with a solid wireless link that can work with a
headphones output of "normal power" and that you can hardly see on
camera. It should have a broader freq response too so it can be used
for music cues and in general to listen to any kind of cue in a less
painfully resonant way.

Thanks for any help, suggestions, ideas...

I finally used the Phonito but with some extra amplification from a SD
HX-3 since actors were sitting inside a car and I could hide it on the
seats.
But I even needed more amplification in some cases... I'll make a
small 9V hp amp to use after the wireless receiver hp output

I don't have to use this kind of device often, but still, I wish we
had a good alternative.

You can't always hide the induction collar and the Phonak new system
working with RF is too expensive and not available to rent locally.
The music-oriented products are too visible for in-frame use.

Fernando,

Have you tried the induction loop around the room instead of on the
talent? Just a thought. I know some folks will get a power amp and
make a room loop so it is off the talent. You can also get a seat
loop. Alas, these are all for the inductive variety of loop, but
maybe you can chat with these folks about ways to make it better audio
quality.

It is a pretty cool site with a lot of less costly ways to expand your
reach.

Hope this helps.

I know induction loop systems pretty well and you don't get much in the way
of HF response. On a good system it sounds like AM radio.
