I've been using these now for a couple of months. Now getting 3.5 to
3.75 hrs (was 4.5). This is after around 20 recharge cycles.
But I feel they are still well worth while. I have noticed that they
hold their charge much longer than NiMh which lose charge rapidly just
sitting in the bag. But seeing that I am working currently on an Eco
Challenge type show, I feel I must do my bit to save the planet!

Hi Lucien

Did you get the new, slightly smaller ones? Not too tight a fit? I
emailed Richard at Ipower US a few weeks ago but still no reply. Where
did you buy yours from?

See how the producers feel about saving the planet when one of them dies
unexpectedly and you lose a good piece of sound. Rechargeables scare the
daylights out of me for anything but non-critical applications like IFB for
clients. With "real" batteries at least you know with good certainty how
long they are going to last and you don't have to try to keep track of which
battery has been charged how many times etc etc.

Hi Charles,
I haven't had a producer die on me yet, and only a couple of batteries!
With the Lectro 411A receiver set to timer, I have an accurate guide of
battery life.
I know the risks, and change before they fade. Also I keep an eye on
Xmitter battery voltage. Once the 500mAh hits 7.1v, you know it's time
to change. I carry "real" batteries for critical applications!..eg
progucers with dicky tickers!

I've been using them for about 1 month now and have had great results.
I did accidentally charge my Lithiums with the charger setting on Ni
M...does anyone know what kind of damage may have been caused?

that sucks - the batteries have to hold spesifications at least 300
charges - check if you didnt change any thing in your setup or if your
charger working properly .

the 7.1 v mark - is that the mark you was getting 4.5 hours before

the tx take about 1 w per hour - the 3.5 hour looks very low

Hi Lucien,

Sorry I didn't see your message. We have reduced the size of the
batteries to the same as alkaline. Also we have adjusted the
electronics. You can email me for a Pro Audio dealer with the new ones.
Thanks for your interest.

Hi Oleg,

If you have had them for a couple of months they are not the new ones.
We have altered them based on feedback from Larry at Lectrosonics.
From 4.5 to 3.5 or 20% charge capacity reduction is not good enough.
The exacting requirements of Pro Audio users are definately a challege
we are working to meet.
I pass everything on to the factory, as I will this message.
You can send me your batteries and I will exchange them. Please email me
at richard.RemoveThis@ipowerus.com, with more info.

Thanks Oleg

Hi Peter, Ibought mine on: http://www.nimhbattery.com/index.htm
I was in a rush so I did not have time to compare prices.
Thing I know is that the Ipower 500mAh don't fit in a comtek. For that I
have to try another kind.

i dont think they would be dameges as the batteries have protection sirquet
the ni mh charges with constant current while the voltage is changing
the litiums charged by constant voltage /
