when does a lav capsule warrant replacement?

so my kit got a bit of a pounding in the gold mines of south africa
and ghana including some cos-11 capsules.
1 was 'drowned' when a contributor poured water on himself (it was
very hot), after drying out it later came back to life; any risk of
permanent damage from water?
1 wire needed to be re-soldered as 1 of the contacts broke, (standard
stuff),
1 wire was properly torn from the connector so i wondering if the wire
will be damaged throughout its length?

sorry,

to clarify, when i say 'wire' i mean a complete cos-11 capsule and
integral lead and not individual wires within a cos-11 lead/cable/
wire. ie. i have 3 cos-11 capsules/leads that were damaged in 3
different ways. i am now trying to work out if i should get the
production company to just pay for re soldering them or if i should
get any of them replaced?
