Anyone here know if a Lectro tx in 200 mode and a Sony WRR862B rx could
theoretically work together? (as an alternative to Lectro actually
offering a stereo receiver)

Hi Brad,
The dual band compander of the 200 series does not play well with
pre-emphasized single band compander receivers such as the Sony. One
moment it sounds fine and then the sound is totally out of balance.
Running in one of the S modes might work fine. The Shxxx mode is
probably closer than the Se........ mode. The Sh mode doesn't have as
much pre-emphasis or variable pre-emphasis which is more like the Sony
setup. The deviation is turned down some also which should match up
better. Try driving the transmitter to high modulation (full limiting)
and then try full modulation with sibilant sounds. If it gets past
those tests, you should be OK, but not necessarily great.

A two channel receiver is something we are looking at but don't hold
off on buying some one else's gear. It will be awhile.
Best Regards,
