Post subject: Best location recording software for Avid- PT Datatransfer
Archived from groups: rec>arts>movies>production>sound (more info?)

Which laptop software is the best for easy file and Data Transfer to Avid and PT ?
Should work with an firewire audiointerface(...PT donīt......).
Should be able to work with TDM or VST plug ins.
Nuendo ? logic ? metarecorder ? Final Cut Pro ? Avid X-press ? others ?
What do you thing

Costs of DEVA or Cantar
- 744 t with some flashcards or small portable firewirepowered HDs
- Hardware ( Toughpad,Firewire Interface, MidiTC, smallUSB Mixer /Controller)
- very intelligent power management and Akku solution
- some X tras ( new cart design and construction )
maybe until 2000 $
