lubricating super 8 kodachrome 40 films

i been reading all the past questions about super 8 film and they all
are from 1999 or 2000, is this group still active? anyway, i just sent
my first roll of k40 off through wal-mart the other day, and i wanted
to know a good way to lubricate the film using regular household
products. i've seen funiture polish the most on the internet, does
anyone know how to do this, that can give me instructions? thanks for
all the help!
