I never understood why Titanic was so hit. I never felt it seeing
second time. First half was very boring.

In contrast, LOTR triology is most spectaculer movie(s) ever made on
earth. But no part of LOTR triology earned more that Titanic allthough
all three parts earned far more than titanic.

I am watching closely which movie excel LOTR triology artistically.

You must have seen that movie on old tv made in 1950. See it in
theatre. Photography is spectaculer. War scenes are breath taking. This
movie takes us in completely different world.

And I especially like theme music of LOTR.

They were both stultifyingly dull. LOTR did not do justice to the books, did
not stand up on its own and Frodo's eyes just made me think he was about to
have lasik surgery. They paced it close to a terminally ill snail and never
managed to engage any fear or anticipation of horror.

OK, so it *did* do justice to the book then. Make up your mind.

;-)

LOL, I read the books the first time when I was 9 or 10 while on holiday at
the beach. I barely ever left my bunk except for meals I found them so
gripping. It took me five solid days and a lot of batteries :-)

The movies had a lot of great visual effects, good visualization of a lot of
the denizens, but tried a little too hard to be an epic.

We can only choose between those two films? I wouldn't put either in my top
10!

Actually, if you adjust for inflation, "Gone With the Wind" is still the
all time leader.
