Do you know what this movie is called?

Hi,

a friend of mine recently told me about a film in which a woman
educates her husband using a training/eduction book for dogs, which
was given to her by her mother.
I think it`s supposed to be a Doris Day film, but I`m not sure. I`ve
searched the internet, but couldn`t find anything.

Maybe somenone knows what I`m talking about, I`d be very grateful if
someone did!!
