S'been discussed for many years...
But I really don;t think they'd make it like it should be made.

There's been talk of this for years, but I think it would be a complete
disaster.
The only thing worse that I can imagine would be.... oh, I don't know, a
Freddy vs Jason film, for example. Imagine that! It doesn't bear thinking
about.

Hi,
Not sure if this has been said in this group but the 'Aliens Vs Predator'
film is in production as we speak. Not much info has come out about it but
it is set for release late next year. Paul W.S. Anderson (Mortal Kombat,
Resident Evil, Soldier) is directing and neither H.R. Giger or Stan Winston
will be working on the project. According to sources it is set on present
day Earth where scientists are lurring in Predators (in the Antarctic!!!)
using Alien Eggs but (supprise, supprise!!!) some of the eggs hatch and
inpregnate some Humans, etc, etc, etc. It is said that none of the previous
'Aliens Vs Predator' storylines from comics and games will be used. In this
one, no Ripley (Possibly because Sigourney Weaver thinks to make this movie
is a terrible idea).

I've read all the Aliens vs Predator comics. There have been some VERY
SHITTY comics based on the concept, and a couple very good ones. I shudder
to think what Hollywood would do with the movie. It would need to be very
R-rated and violent, but they'd probably make it fricking PG. >> Stay informed about: alien v predator movie? |

Hi group!
Thanks for your replies.........
Oh dear, it sounds like even if they do make the movie its gonna be off to
a bad start. i have read quite a few novels and comics based round the
aliens predator scenario, and a few i feel would make excellent screenplays.
oh well........maybe Arnie versus gladiator?? LOL Ainzy >> Stay informed about: alien v predator movie? |

What, making it a fun film with enough horror for horror fans and enough
comedy to make it amazing? >> Stay informed about: alien v predator movie? |

It sounded more like H.P.Lovecraft inspired, with its idea about ancient wars
on the planet involving the aliens, like At the Mountains of Madness >> Stay informed about: alien v predator movie? |

That's all the fault of Jimmy Cameron though !! ;' )
We dunno exactly how tough *Ridley's* Alien is, but it survived a harpoon to
the chest, and was still alive iin the wake of a shuttles thrusters.
And anyway.. It did okay against the marines eventually didn;t it?
My thoughts?
Urban pacification or similar.
Short lifespan, heavy casualties.
