You had already changed the topic from 'Iwo Jima/The War' to
'conservative recommends PBS show'. I followed your lead. >> Stay informed about: How many more pro-Democrat propaganda movies are due? |

I said 'worst' liberal, not that he is necessarily the most extreme
leftist. As for your Matthews quote, if I had been collecting them
too, I could give plenty of hair-raisers.
I assume your second quote is from Bush, but I have heard
plenty of good quotes from him. One quote does not a fair
impression make.
You are welcome to like Matthews and dislike Bush; and I
am welcome to like Bush and dislike Matthews; though I
think presidents should be compared to presidents, and
talk show hosts should be compared to talk show hosts.
I'm not going to continue this argument though. I was
having a pissing contest with trotsky, not a political
discussion. >> Stay informed about: How many more pro-Democrat propaganda movies are due? |

It was moviePig who said that my arguments with you concerning
your claims about my sexual orientation were 'pissing contests'.
He gave that as his reason for not commenting. Someone should
call you on it, though. Using usenet for baseless public slander
is inappropriate, period, and mP and others should say so; but
they wont because I'm a conservative and you're a liberal.
A couple of posts back I gave a list of all of my posts, for you
to scan to find examples of me 'heaping adulation' on James
Franco and Jim Caviezel (whom you called 'strapping', though
I never used any such word). All you had to do was scan
what I provided, to find examples of what you claim.
Have you done so? Didn't think so. You use your poison
keyboard for insinuation and exaggeration, but not for truth. >> Stay informed about: How many more pro-Democrat propaganda movies are due? |

I always read your posts with interest, but don't spend
much time replying, since you don't seem interested in a
conversation. I guess that's because you're a 'real poster'.
My problem is not as you describe it. My problem is a naive
belief that people will be fair if I point out their unfairness
clearly enough. >> Stay informed about: How many more pro-Democrat propaganda movies are due? |

Ftr, I hardly ever watch Matthews's show... but, in light of
surprising dismissals here of him as a liberal toady, I overheard that
recent Warner paean in background, and was able to Google it for my
post. I.e., it's hardly a "collected quote", and you should as easily
be able to produce several to support your claims about him.
Re Painful's quote, it's from a recent press-conference that, again, I
happened to overhear live (rather than on Jon Stewart's later
reprise). And "painful" is exactly the word that came instantly to
mind... as I listened yet again to the our leader's self-assured,
content-free style... which I think of as 'condescension in search of
an inferior'...

I don't know how you manage to distinguish 'evidence' from
'information'. Regardless, and again ftr, I'd intended to paraphrase
both quotes, but found I could easily Google them ...and thus do them
and you the justice of providing better information. And I was
prompted to reply at all merely by the spontaneity with your
juxtaposition of "liberal" and "painful" jerked those tv moments from
my memory.
Re Ann Coulter... I've said about the same as Matthews did... although
she makes it increasingly difficult... (as one hopes she may actually
find it...)

Well, he was correct:
Trotsky, due his "difficulty" of not ever being able to discuss movies,
tends to be the "Let's You And Him Fight" poster who wants to *keep*
arguments going without actually starting one himself.
This requires any one of his five "defaults", (eg. Grammatical
Correction, Non-Sequitir Filler-Joke, etc.)...
But, as already noted, he's sort of gotten stuck on the "Gay Joke" rut.
(Default Usenet-responses are like underwear, it kind of helps if you
can change them at least once a month.)
With other posters, this would not normally be a problem, as most either
have him killfiled already, or his "Umm...yeah." lack of followable
material tends to stop thread branches in their tracks.
Unfortunately, this brings us to YOUR problem, which is your utter,
desperate, pleading, craving, thread-stretching need for the rest of us
to think you are an Important, Controversial Poster Who Begs to be Taken
With Headline Seriousness...Or perhaps it really *is* some indescribable
"What's a killfile?" naivete that makes you respond to anyone, anywhere,
on any thread, for any reason, with utter newborn-baby believes that the
poster is some evil George Washington, who cannot write a fake post.
Frankly, we're still trying to figure out which one it is, either.
And if you're not faking it, sooner or later on the net, Faker and
Sucker will attract to each other like positive and negative charges.
It's easy to say "You two deserve each other", if it wasn't for the fact
that the rest of us Real Posters have to watch it.
(Now at this point, the Actual Troll would get all high-dudgeon and say,
"Well, why don'tcha just use your killfile, then?"...So, help us out here.)
> Have you done so? Didn't think so. You use your poison
> keyboard for insinuation and exaggeration, but not for truth.
So...You're starting to notice. Good. You've taken the first step on
the road to Killfile.

I wasn't complaining about you using Google to get a
partially remembered quote right. I do that all the time,
and often Google names and words just to get the
spelling right, like 'schtick'. But you challenged me to
Google some Matthews quotes to support my case
against him, and I refuse on the grounds that one can
Google up supporting evidence for anything. A Google
war never ends. Thus I don't Google for evidence, only
for information.

Actually, what I said was that Stewart, Colbert, and Maher
are painful to look at because of their smugness.
