Archived from groups: rec>arts>movies>production>sound (more info?)

The ps -1a that I have, has reverse polarity connection,
today I found it when connected it with another mike as mono par ,until now
I just checked every mike individually.
I don't know if any one had this problem before but this is solid ,that box
left the factory with opposite legs ( I don't know if it the input or the
output,I will check it tomorrow and report).
The conclusions from that incident are that some mikes like sanken cs-3e
and k-6Sens (and maybe the others) don't fill well when they connected to
unbalance input thru the box with reverse polarity and there are others that
can live with the problem (mkh series and schoeps)
Thanks for all who sand the advises ,specially Douglass

the output xlr connector had the reverse polarity.
other thing that I found that the box is working without cable had been
connected inside ( it shows 53 v) ,is it normally like that or there is a
switch which open the circuit wich had been collapse?
