Sometimes I feel like I'm the only one that thought Blair Witch was
more of a comedy than horror.

The Haunting, the original. I remember the first time I watched it was
late night as a kid in a children's hospital. It was dark on my floor
except for the TV in my room. I remember a nurse practioner came into my
room and watched it with me. Adding the silence on our floor, and us
being the only ones up at the time (it was after midnight), we both got
spooked by this movie. >> Stay informed about: scariest horror movie? |

Have you ever seen "Session 9"? Just the setting, a closed down mental
hospital, is scary, let alone the rest of it. Highly recommended.
You've been getting some other good suggestions, too. "The Haunting" is
great, especially if you can turn it up loud.

the legend of hell house.
I thought it sucked, but then I was a fan of the book before the movie, and
the movie, even though written by the author, just didn't put the story
across. The redeeming value of it for me is that it had Pamela Franklin,
who I've always adored.
