I'm trying to get a feel for whether or not the word got out. Did anyone
watch any of the replays of the david lynch weekend?

Thanks.

I just watched the John Hagelin lecture. Very much enjoyed his
positive message. He is an idealist who appeals to my sense of what I
would like to believe is the cosmology of our world.

Interesting that his cosmology matches Plotinus's cosmology.
http://www.iep.utm.edu/p/plotinus.htm This was the basis for much of
metaphysics during the middle ages. Its no coincidence that many Vedic
scholars have also seized on Plotinus.
http://www.iep.utm.edu/p/plotinus.htm

His jump from QM to mapping consciousness requires a leap of faith. It
is something that "feels" right to us TMs. But it is far from
scientific fact backed up by repeatable and verifiable evidence.

From an intellectual point of view this theory has equal footing with
it's evil cousin: The more common notion in physics and neurology
these days that all phenomenon are physical and that consciousness is
merely epiphenomonal (foam on the waves).

Of course the advantage of the idealist cosmology where reality is a
manifestation of a unified field, is that it carries psychological and
societal advantages. The idealist's positive view of the world carries
with it the advantages of creativity, compassion, peace, and the
ability to realize these virtues. The materialist is left with a
clockwork and no real intention.

Will be looking forward to watching more. Wish I could stick them on
DVD so I could watch them on my TV rather than my computer. I guess
someday I will be able to watch them on an iPod.
