I own Canon Xl-2 and I am new to dv world. I purchased several books on
digital video but still having difficulties shooting professional
quality video. Can anyone suggest a good book or training video on how
to shoot professional quality video?

Perhaps you should start by identifying the elements
that you are dissatisfied with and start working on them
one at a time. There is a point where the very best books
can't help anymore and you must go out there and shoot
video and figure out what/how to improve.
