I think the Queen is a great idea.

The idea of a 6' man being transformed into an egg half his size is pretty

The aliens didn't stay in the processor all the time. One went outside and
hitched a ride (a *short* ride) on the dropship.

Yeah...

I think the Alien being able to subsist entirely on metal is ridiculous,
though. It might make sense for the alien to ingest *some* in order to form
its 'armor' or something, but metal can not form organs and it certainly can
not be 'burned' for energy.

The food we eat releases energy when it's broken down. (We expend some energy
to do it, but we get more back.) Breaking down lumps of metal would consume
more energy than it would release.
